I have been trying to finish this book but still can't get through it. I've read all of the Barefoot William Series. I liked the others but this one is just dragging. I can't get attached to the main characters. Dune isn't so bad but Sophie is weak. I like strong women and she is not strong. She has been very protected growing up and is really socially backward. Secondary character Mac is very likable. Maybe I'll come to like Sophie if I ever get to the end of the book. I'm determined to get there. If I change my mind about Sophie I'll come back and change this review. Kate Angell is one of my favorite authors. I've read every one I can find. It's just this book that I cannot recommend.

Love this book! Kate Angell once again brings her wonderful characters to life and keeps me hanging on every romantic word! Do yourself a favor and get this one, along with the first in the "Barefoot Williams" series, NO TAN LINES! ))
I've really enjoyed this series so far. I loved the main characters in this book and I found myself rooting for them!
I loved this book and I loved this couple! Sophie and Dune may be my favorite book couple ever. I really like that different couples are integrated into the stories of this series.
The second Barefoot William book a real charmer. As usual Ms Angell's story is two in one. And all the characters will draw you in. One couple is full of sparks and snark. The other is sweet and protective. It is a well paced plot that never drags or rushes. I have to say this is my favorite from this author so far, and I have read and re-read several of her titles.
Great author. Ive been reading her books for years and her men athletes are so much more believable than any others. She does great sport narrations. She is awesome. I just wish she could write faster. I loved her richmond rogues and she nails the beach scene. Very fast reads great job
Really enjoyed this book, but then, I really like the writing of Kate Angell. I had been waiting for the release of this book since reading "Barefoot William". Loved all the character and enjoyed seeing Sophie change from an awkward, unsure of herself girl to a more mature woman. Of course, Dune is quite the man to help her out. The back story of Mac and Jenna was just as fun! Hope the series continues!
What a great book! Loved the Richmond Rogues series but the Barefoot William series is at the top of my list too. Sophie and Dune are so different in their lifestyles but there is an attraction between them. Mac and Jen can't even stand each other yet there is an attraction there too. Loved the conversations between the them. Mac is so hilarious that he was my favorite character of the book. Couldn't put the book down-like reading two books for the price of one!
